The next and last membership meeting of the Forest Legality Alliance will take place on July 6th and 7th 2016 in Washington, DC. We would like to share some updates about meeting content and logistics with you, as well as the link for registration.
Please find the draft agenda and logistical information about our upcoming meeting, attached. This summer’s meeting will focus primarily on the Convention on the International Trade of Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES), while we plan for the upcoming Conference of Parties (COP17) in September. Specific topics will include updates on issues surrounding illegally traded CITES-listed species, government proposals to list specific species through CITES and current technologies to aid CITES and enforcement bodies in wood identification.
With our beautiful renovation complete, we will be holding this summer’s FLA meeting at WRI in our new, large conference facility:
Harmon Center, Suite 800 (8th floor)
10 G St. NE
Washington, DC 20002
The registration link is here: Online Registration Form
Both days of the meeting will have remote participation capability. More information for accessing the meeting remotely will made be available closer to the meeting dates.
